Geoscapes

These paintings are rooted in my experience of the Upstate New York landscape and the Adirondack Mountains. Rather than depicting the land directly, I reduce it into geometric structures that suggest peaks, ridgelines and changing light. The fragmented planes become a visual language for the way memory and perception reconstruct the landscape over time.
